About My Self
Zion High to everyone. My name is Leon, my artist name is Shyvoice. I am a Carpenter by trade and that is my day job, but my passion is writing lyrics and creating music. Back in the day I was known as Tulu man. It was at that time, about 30 years ago that I sang on a sound system called Kibir la Amlak. I was renamed Shyvoice by a singer called Sammy Gad at the time. This was for obvious reasons, due to my shyness as a young solo artist. I progressed on to Twelve Tribe sessions singing on stage in Manchester and London and helping to host some of the dances. I have helped create a band called Gold Medal which is Nottingham based and now called Royal Roots.
Nowadays, after my day work has finished, I come home to create more lyrics and sing my songs to different types of music, Some of it is reggae, but I love experimenting with sounds so the music sometimes ends up genre less.
I began as a teenager on the drums singing Rasta Fari heartical tunes. I believe my musical back ground came from my mother because as a child she encouraged us to engage in music played with the aid of a comb and paper, clanging pots, bottles pinging and drumming on the door, creating our own band, She would encourage us all to sing. This was real fun, especially in the power cuts. Who knows, knows. Lol. My mother Annie is no longer with us but she still remains the rock in my life. Peace be with you love you mom!

I feel the world needs guidance and my Aim and purpose is to sing to help build a bridge for the world to Unite and help eliminate inequality and wickedness in high and low places.

This song was created a couple of years now.
It was when I was thinking about the music industry and how they seem to have far too much degrading lyrics being exposed to the general public. When I thought about Bob Marley's song, Trench Town Rock, "hit me with music for when it hit you feel no pain," I can see that via music the Artist can cause much pain not only to the public but to the Recording Artist them selves, if they swallow the wrong content. Through song I aim to keep the love and culture alive in my music, especially reggae music the music I grew up on! Also I aim to help provoke healthy thinking.
As we know the world can not know peace until all mankind learns to respect each other!
So as I say in the song "make good manners be your saviour ."

FEAR
Fear is a song about False Evidence Appearing Real. This song is to help abbreviate the word fear without putting fear into it! This is to help people realise that fear closes doors where confidence can open them. Don't be a prisoner of your own fears, always question what you are afraid of, and remember, who dares they win. What I think is at the end of the day, what is there to lose, If we try, there is definitely something to learn. If we don't try, we will never know, So I say let love guide you in all your endeavours, and don't let fear keep you from reaching your goals, or your highest potential !
